Although the credit union is owned and democratically controlled by its members, it is inconceivable for the members to gather to make daily decisions. For this reason, the members elect a board of directors.
As a member of a credit union, you have voting privileges which allows you to vote for individuals who would best represent your needs.
Spectra Credit Union has 9 Board of Directors who were democratically elected to represent the needs of every member.
The board of Spectra Credit Union is made up of nine directors, with the region divided into five electoral districts:
- Lampman/Bienfait District (one director)
- Carlyle/Manor/Redvers District (one director)
- Estevan/Beaubier/Minton-Gladmar District (three directors)
- Patrick Dupuis
- Joe Parent
- Emily Zyla
- Oxbow/Carnduff District (one director)
- General SCU Electoral District (three directors at large)
- Wayne Amos
- Raymond Boutin
- Cameron Nordin
Your comments really do count at Spectra Credit Union. As a member owned organization, we not only listen but respond to comments of our members. Your opinions make their way directly to Senior Management in Estevan. As a result of your comments, you have seen changes in the way we deliver service, in types of training our staff receive and in the kind of products you get over the counter.
Every March, you have an opportunity to attend the Annual General Meeting to hear first hand how Spectra Credit Union is doing both financially and in other ways that matter to you. You can play an important role in Spectra Credit Union by actively voting for the members of the Board of Directors, or by running for a position on the Board of Directors.
