Spectra Community Foundation Hands out over $42,000

Tami Scott, Executive Vice President of Spectra Credit Union went on the road distributing funds from the Spectra Community Foundation Inc.  “It is such a positive feeling; viewing the projects first hand and meeting the people in the community that make these projects happen.  Projects like these are the reason that the Spectra Credit Union Board of Directors chose to share the success of the credit union and I am proud to be a part of the Foundation” said Scott.

 

The projects that received funding, from the Fall 2008 allocation of the Spectra Community Foundation on this trip included:

  •  Lake Alma Recreation Board - $7,500 for siding and doors on the Al Heider Memorial Rink.  Pictured receiving the cheque with Tami Scott is Cherie Roysum, of the Lake Alma Recreation

  • Beaubier Community Centre - $7,500 for floor and roof renovations.  Pictured with Tami Scott is Sharon Buckner

  • Gladmar Regional School - $10,000 for new playground equipment.  Pictured with Tami Scott is Judy Thue, principal, and representatives of the school’s SRC.
