Brian Gordon Receives Miriam Lieb Emerging Leader Award

Brian Gordon, Spectra Credit Union’s Member Solutions Manager, was recently selected for the Miriam Lieb Emerging Leader Award presented by the MD|DC Credit Union Association (MDDCCUA).

The award honors the legacy of Miriam Rivera Lieb, a credit union advocate and leader, by recognizing a credit union professional, 40 or under, who demonstrates leadership and shares Lieb’s dedication to the movement's core principles.

“This remarkable achievement is a testament to Brian’s vision and commitment to the credit union mission,” said President and CEO Kristin Shultz. “I am proud he is being recognized by MDDCCUA. Brian continues to lead with purpose, and this honor reflects the difference he makes every day with our members.

Gordon will receive a professional development package sponsored by TruStage, which includes executive coaching sessions, a visit to CUNA and TruStage headquarters, lunch with MD|DC Credit Union Association President/CEO John Bratsakis, and executive coaching sessions!

The finalists in this year's competition were Ashok Khadka at NIH Federal Credit Union, Tyler Lardy from Library of Congress Federal Credit Union, Dawnn Pappas from Nymeo Federal Credit Union, and Brian Gordon at Spectra Credit Union.

“Congratulations to all the finalists,” said John Bratsakis, President and CEO of the MD|DC Credit Union Association. “They each delivered thought-provoking presentations and offered unique insights into how credit unions can continue to innovate. All of the candidates exemplify the leadership qualities needed to drive the future of our movement.”
