Help Students Start the Year off Spectacularly
We're proud to host our annual back-to-school supply drive benefiting local K-12 students.
According to a recent NerdWallet survey, American families will spend an average of more than $500 on school supplies this year. This makes it increasingly difficult for some families to prepare their children for the new school year.
Join Spectra Credit Union as we benefit Easterseals DC MD VA and Charles County Children’s Aid Society with school supplies for local K-12 students.
Donations will be accepted 7/29 through 8/31. You can drop donations into boxes at each Spectra location or through this Amazon Wishlist.
You’re also encouraged to include a note with words of encouragement and appreciation for our local teachers. Examples might be:
- “Thank you for being an amazing Teacher! We wish you a very successful school year!”
- “Thank you for helping our youth grow, learn and thrive!”
- “We appreciate all you do to support the students in our community.”
- “Thank you for bringing out the very best in our students!”
